Many long leaders from other manufacturers have thick bats and emphasize turnover, but LDL is a leader for long drift. The secret is that the thin butt and the first taper are steep, and the second taper and the tippet part, which have almost no taper, have a two-step tippet shape. This steep taper produces a minimum turnover, and the tippet part is loosely slacked, which makes a difference in drift ability.
The new LDL Evo Reader follows the taper configuration from the previous LDL Reader and consists of four parts: the bat part, the steep first taper part, the loose second taper part, and the tippet part. The second taper part also plays the role of a tippet and is characterized by a two-stage tippet structure without a knot. The material uses a slightly hard high-strength nylon material that is easy to get used to curl, and the durability is improved with a special coating. The high-strength nylon material brings the difference (hardness) between the material feel of the leader and the tippet close, and the compatibility with the LDL fluoro tippet is excellent and the connection strength is improved. In addition, this special coating improves water draining and contributes to drifting performance and hooking performance. These improvements have also improved turnover performance and control performance. He has become an indispensable leader for the long leader tippet system, where you can feel the stress-free long drift.
